The Light of the World

by on July 2, 2013

Jesus was/is the true Light,

He lights every man that comes into the world.

He was in the world, and

The world was made by him, and

The world knew him not.

He came unto his own, and

His own received him not.

But as many as received him,

To them gave he power to become the sons of God, even

To them that believe on his name:

From John 1:9-12

For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that,

Denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,

We should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and

Looking for the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that

He might redeem us from all iniquity, and that

He might purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority.

Let no man despise thee.

From Titus 2:11-15

Jesus is the Light of the world – of all the world – if they will receive it.

For those who will receive it –

  • And deny ungodliness
  • And deny worldly lusts
  • And live righteously
  • And live Godly in this present world.

They also become the light to the world as:

  • They reflect the light of the True Light.
  • They will be despised, as He was.
  • They must speak about the Light and
  • They must exhort and rebuke with all authority.
  • As they look for the blessed hope and
  • Look for the glory of the appearing of the

Great God and our Savior Jesus Christ –

He is The Light of the World.
