Men Who Were Considered “Mad”

by on July 12, 2013

Persons who are controlled by the Holy Spirit do not fit in this world. They are destined for another world. They live here to represent the next world to this world.

Jesus and the Apostle Paul were two of those persons.

  • Jesus-

Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”

From Mark 3:20-21

  • Apostle Paul –

Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!”

But he said, “I am not mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason.

Acts 26;24-25

Jesus, “out of his mind?” who could imagine words like that? But, words they were and they were spoken by His kin and those closest to Him.

Paul, “mad?” The most prominent apostle. The most educated apostle. The fearless evangelist. Mad?

“Speaking the words of truth and reason” qualified these men to be called “mad” and “out of his mind.” They did not fit into this world and they did not want to. This world was not their home. They had no mileage to make here.

Giving their lives for others in a world driven by politics made them suspect by this world’s standards.

If you do not fit in this world, you are in good company.

  • If you are falsely accused.
  • If you are maligned.
  • If you are misunderstood.

Take it as a blessing from God.

It is the righteous judgment of God for you to be mistreated.

God is honoring you as one of His faithful few.

Are you controlled by politics

Or

By the Holy Spirit of a Holy God?

Do you fit into this world?

Or

Are you one of God’s special chosen people that the world calls “mad?”
