Spirit and Light

by on January 30, 2014

Amos Herr, in I Owe The Lord a Morning Song, writes:

“Now may His Spirit, as the light,
Direct me in his way.”

When we walk in the night we stumble and fall because we cannot see the obstructions and obstacles. When we walk in the daytime, we do not stumble and fall because we have light to see what is there.

The Christian life is like that. The Spirit of God lights our way as we walk the Christian life. We do not walk in darkness. Therefore we do not stumble. God’s Holy Spirit lights our path and directs us how to walk in this dark and evil world.

Now may His Spirit as the Light
Direct you in His way.
