Unity and Harmony in the Fellowship

by on July 1, 2014

How to have harmony in the fellowship

1. If someone shares something, make sure that they have evidence for what they are saying. Refuse to accept unsupported comments.

2. Truth is ultimately important. There is no unity without truth.

3. Integrity is important. There is no unity without integrity.

4. Justice is important. There is no unity without justice.

5. Accountability is important. People must be held accountable for their statements and actions.

6. Youth are very sensitive. When truth and integrity and accountability are lacking, there will be problems. Youth are very sensitive to egregious deviations from truth and integrity.

7. Focus on honesty and truth to be able to look past the personalities and actually look into the integrity of the person and their statements and behaviors.

8. If the focus is on unity, unity will escape. If the focus is on truth, integrity, and justice; unity will coalesce around those concepts.

9. The fellowship must create a culture of worship and truth and integrity if they are to continue to function as a Spiritual group.

10. A group controlled by powerful personalities will eventually fail. The Church of Jesus Christ is not controlled by powerful people. It is controlled by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit makes people powerful, but not by their own strength.

Zechariah 4:6 Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts
