What Rules Your Heart?

by on November 5, 2014

What rules your heart? Who rules your heart?

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15

The peace of God wants to rule your heart. The peace of God does rule your heart if you are a Spirit-led believer.

Sensitivity to God and His Spirit and His peace will rule your heart if you are a Spirit-led believer. You will have peace. Peace deep in the heart that God is there and His Spirit communes with your Spirit that you are His child.

Upon entering any situation, the peace of God is either there, or it is not. If it is there, you are safe. If it is not there, you are at war. The peace of God does not make peace with sin. If you make peace with sin, you will not have peace with God. The peace of God is the deciding factor in the believer’s life.

Do not allow substitutes for the peace of God. Not your will. Not your wishes. Not your longings. Not your perceptions based on what you want. Not man-pleasing. Not compromise. Only the genuine peace of God gives peace by being the deciding component in life.

Peace is knowing that you are His child. Peace is knowing that you have experienced grace and mercy and then peace. Peace is the fruit of the Spirit. Prefaced by love and Joy, there is peace ruling in your heart.

And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

May the peace of God rule in your heart today.
