Peace and Spiritual Health

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:17-18

The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable…The Scripture is plain. The wisdom that is from above is first PURE, then peaceable. Without purity there is no peace. Wisdom without purity is not peaceable. If and when we try to be peaceable without being pure we are living in hypocrisy.

Romans 14:17 The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Godly living is linked with peace. The Kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Philippians 4:9 Do those things which you have also learned and received and heard and seen in me. And the God of peace shall be with you.
In Philippians Paul links obedience and peace. Obey what you have been taught by the Apostle and the God of peace shall be with you.

II Timothy 2:22 But flee youthful lusts, and follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Flee what is wrong. Follow what is good and associate with those who seek purity of heart before the Lord.

I Peter 3:11 Let him turn aside from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it. Turn away from evil, then seek and pursue peace.

II Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found by Him in peace. Preparing for God’s plans for the future, we need to be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found by Him in peace.

Philippians 4:6-9 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
Finally, brethren:
whatever things are true,
whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report,
if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—
meditate on these things.

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me,
these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
