Right and Wrong in Personal Life

Inversions in personal life

In personal life – We need to resist temptation to do wrong. We must judge the wrong in our life according to the Scripture and opt for truth and integrity according to the life of Christ. If we do that, we will not fall to inversions. ‘Put off the old man and put on the new man.’

It is easy to defend ourselves and our actions. It is easy to deceive ourselves. To judge ourselves according to the Scripture is what it means to be Godly. To always apply God’s values and laws to our lives will form Christ is us. We will become more and more like Christ as we do that. The Holy Spirit will mold our hearts and lives as we apply our lives to the Scripture.

We also need to make sure that inversions do not occur in our presence. When someone is obviously wrong, that wrong needs to be taken in hand. Jesus did that and so must we. To do nothing is to do everything. To ignore sin is to not be our brother’s keeper. To ignore wrong is to not be Godly. Have the Godly courage to challenge and correct the wrong things that have become “right.”

Sometimes wrongs can work in our favor. At such times it is easy to ignore the wrongs. That is wrong. We should be just as insulted when we are given too much change as when we are given too little. We should use our energy to make things right whether the results are to our benefit or not. We must use our energy to make things right when the results are for other persons and not for us.

Desire for truth should drive us to notice wrongs and set them right. Politics in the church and wrongs in business should call us to our noble Christianity. Truth must reign in our hearts and minds and then we will be able, willing and courageous enough to act to correct the wrong. There will be a price. The price must be paid.

Perhaps God has called you to be a prophet. In the Old Testament, prophets were often considered the enemies of Israel. They revealed the sins of the people and the leaders. They wrote about those sins and published the sinful behaviors. In the New Testament prophets are to be honored. Prophecy is one of the Spiritual gifts. Prophets are needed to speak truth into the world and into the Church.

Prophets are called to be discerning and direct. Prophets speak the truth fearlessly. They are not cowed by politicians. They warn the Church of false prophets and of sinful tendencies. Prophets are to be honored in and by the Church.

Whether you are a prophet or not, take heed to your life. Do not allow the devil to deceive you into thinking that you are holy when you are tolerating sin in your life. Flee, abandon, stand against, and refuse the sin. Keep integrity the main thing in your life. God is looking for men and women of absolute integrity. Do not allow inversions to occur in your personal life.

The wicked has said in his heart, “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.” Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “You will not require an account.
Psalm 10:11-13.

It is sad when someone thinks that God will not see, That He will overlook sin, That He will not hold you accountable for your actions. Humble yourself before the mighty hand of God and His Word and His Spirit. Tell the truth about yourself, and God will preserve you from inversions and deceptions in your personal life.
