The Baptism of the Holy Spirit – One Lord, one faith, one baptism

Mt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

I Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free–and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.

The Divine action of Father God and Jesus His Son through the Holy Spirit whereby the believing, repentant sinner is:
Baptized with the Holy Spirit
Born again of the Holy Spirit
Regenerated and brought out of darkness into the glorious light of the Gospel
Becomes a new creature, old things are passed away and all things are become new
Now part of the body of Christ, the Church.

The Spirit baptized person has a:
New heart
New identity
New hunger for Spiritual truth
New behaviors
New power over sin
New hatred for sin
New desire for truth
New love
New peace
New humility
New courage
New confidence
New sensitivity to Spiritual matters
New discernment in Spiritual matters
New fellowship with God
New leading by the Holy Spirit
New fellowship with the saints – brothers and sisters in the Spirit
New unity because of having one head in control of the body of Christ
Experiences and displays the fruit of the Spirit
Is given one or more Spiritual gifts
