Cultural Dimensions of the Gospel Part IV

There are different cultures.
Those cultures reflect local customs.
Those cultures can be informed by the Scripture.
Those cultures can be transformed by the Scripture.
That transformation may not change the type of food they eat or their basic habits.
If they are not violating Scripture, allow them to express their unique culture.
Attempting to blend cultures will cause needless clashes.
Those kinds of clashes cause loss of fellowship.
That is not necessary.

Acts 6:2 there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
Cultural differences were causing tensions.
The Church needed a solution.

Acts 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men:
Of honest report, Full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom,
Whom we may appoint over this business.
The Church chose Spiritual qualifications to remedy cultural issues.

Satan is using all kinds of tactics to cause dissent in the Church. Do not allow Satan to destroy your congregation. Recognize the cultural emphases and tensions. Appoint Godly men to oversee the situation and recognize the need and impartially ministry to all the people.
