What Song are You Singing?

by on June 15, 2016

What Song are You Singing?

Thou hast put gladness in my heart,
More than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
Psalm 4:7

Owls cannot sing the carol of the lark,
Nor can the nightingale hoot like the owl.
Let us, then, weigh and watch our words,
Lest our speech should prove us to be foreigners,
And aliens from the commonwealth of Israel.
Treasury of David on Psalm 4:7

Trees are known by their fruit. Birds by their song. People by both.
What song are you singing? What brings you joy and gladness?

The song of the righteous is the joy of the Spiritual blessings of the Lord.
Gladness in the heart that far exceeds the increase of material blessings.
