Vengeance – Personal Practical Implications

1. We can tell the truth about people
In II Tim. 4 – Paul names persons he encountered

2. We can recognize sinful behaviors
Recognize sick and sinful behaviors
Recognize that many people are not controlled by the Holy Spirit
Realize that attacks against Godly people are attacks against the Body of Christ
Recognize that people who are not Godly will abuse God’s children

3. We can pray
Pray for blessing for sinful people
Pray for conviction and deliverance for sinful people
Pray for their salvation

4. We can have confidence
God has chosen us to suffer for Him
So we can identify with Jesus
We are children of God

5. We can trust God’s Word
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off – Ps 37:37-38

6. We can have zeal for the house of God
Zeal for God’s house ‘consumed’ Jesus

7. We can trust God even when He allows the abuse
To prove who are the real believers – I Cor. 11:19
