Vengeance and Shaping

by on June 28, 2016

Vengeance is Mine Says the Lord – Meanwhile He is Shaping you…

But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel – Philippians 1:12

Have you been abused? Have you lost loved ones? Have you been rejected? Has your heart been broken? Have you been treated unfairly? Is it happening now? Are you a Christian? Can you say the same words as Apostle Paul?

Did life treat Paul fairly? Did he orchestrate his own life? What about Job? “The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Can you say that?

You must say that because it is true. The life that God has called you to live is the life of Christ in you – since you are a believer.

God uses the events and persons that He has brought into your life to further the gospel. He is building His Kingdom. You are one of the building blocks in His Kingdom. He is shaping the blocks so they all fit together in His way.

Not all blocks are accepted by the builder. Some are not fitted for His building. He is shaping you so you fit His building. The shaping is painful. Accept the pain knowing the Who and the why while not understanding the how.

Vengeance will eventually be taken out by the Lord against the abusers. That is God’s domain. Meanwhile, accept those hammers and chisels that He uses to shape you so that your life fits into and is part of His building.
